We will reflect on what is distinctive of the Christian God—viz., the Trinity. The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of the Christian faith and Christian life. (CCC, 261) As St. Thomas Aquinas said, “The knowledge of the Trinity in unity is the fruit and end of our entire life.”

Pope St. John Paul II said “there is a need for a philosophy of genuinely metaphysical range, capable, that is, of transcending empirical data to attain something absolute, ultimate, and foundational in its search for truth.” This class is unique in that it sees the study of immaterial beings as a significant aspect of the philosophy of being.

With atheism, paganism, and secularism dominating the culture, participants will consider these issues straight on by being taught to understand convincing proofs for the God of the faith we profess. By natural reason, man can know God with certainty based on his works. How one understands (or misunderstands) the nature of God determines one's entire outlook on life.
